About Us

The GIRFEC Leadership Group includes children’s services managers from across Health, Education, Social Work and the Third Sector.

Together we work to agree on key priorities and goals for Children’s Services in Moray, both inside and outside of the Children’s Services Plan. We aim to improve outcomes for children and families in Moray, challenge any areas that need improvement and solve any problems that are stopping progress. Through teamwork, including sharing resources, identified goals can be achieved.

There is participation in joint inspections of Children’s Services, which are led by the Care Inspectorate. As a group we make decisions about how any funding given to the Children’s Services Partnership is distributed, ensuring it is fair, meets the funding rules, and is properly monitored.
